Hi, we're IDEA Studios! As kids we wanted to be superheroes,
but our mums wouldn't let us :( So now that we're all grown up,
we decided to follow up on that dream and try to make the stuff
of superheroes happen on a daily basis. We make it a habit out
of saving kitties from tall trees, saving the planet from invading
aliens, increasing our customers' sales with beautiful web designs
and giving parents all across the world some peace of mind by
keeping their kids entertained on our flash games.
But first, let's start with a bit of history, to give you an idea of
how we started and where we're going.
Dani and Tudi know each other for quite some time, being long-time
high-school buddies. When high-school was over they parted ways,
Tudi taking up Computer Science in college and Dani joining the local
Law School, thinking he actually has the patience to go through that
sort of tough college :)
While in College, they both realize that what they really wanted to
do was work in web-related domains, Tudi gaining decent experience as
an SEO over the past few years and Dani developing sites for a living.
Fast forward a couple of months later and IDEA Studios was born.
Our birth certificate reads 27 November 2007, but the truth is we've only
truly been in business since mid-2008 as a company. We took the first year
to study the market and try to identify the goals and dreams of our small company.
Landing several SEO and web-development jobs gave us the opportunity to get a
decent office and start thinking of new ventures we can pursue. Of all the
ideas we had going, the one that seemed closest to our hearts was always
developing flash games (both Dani and Tudi being casual gamers with an eye
for decent gameplay, quality graphics and some technical background).
We had a simple problem at hand, but the solution was far from an easy fix.
We knew we wanted to be part of the flash games industry but neither of us
knew how to draw anything more complex than a paintbrush circle with pointy
spikes to represent a character's head and hair. We decided we needed some
real talent on the job so our first job ad landed us an interview with Dorin.
Granted, we didn't know if Dorin was the right choice for the job at that
time, but a couple of games later and he convinced us he was exactly the
guy we were looking for. Almost 2 years later and he's still with us, being
our project manager and animationist so clearly something clicked from the
beginning. Thanks for sticking with us through the rough times dude!
The thing is, we can't single everyone out, but let me just say that we
got an awesome team going in the past few years. Simina our bird-o-phobic illustrator,
Teo our organized-freak assistant manager,Joszi our awesome character
designer, Bubu our laid-back Flash artist, Manuela our fashionista,
our witty web developer Csongor and Cristi on the flash dev side, Stella
with our fashion work and Sorana, the content manager and PR repobsible, Andreea,
Adriana, Anca, Ovidiu, Laura and who knows... a lot more talented guys who wanna join.
Florin (the actual person) joined us in August and will be helping us to reach
the stars we all dream about.
Each and every one of these guys and girls made their mark on our company
and our projects so big up to our team!
Our future is tightly knit to the two industries we're aiming to make a
name in: casual gaming and web development. While we're currently working
mostly in the flash games niche, we intend to expand into the web development
market soon enough, with the addition of our office in China (when the darn
paperwork is ready >.<).
As for our projects, we'll always be using our lead foot on the gas pedal
in terms of progress. We know we can always improve on our work and we
know there's plenty of room on the market for the kind of talent we have.
We also know we're nowhere near our limits and there's plenty of room to
grow in our work - until we reach that limit, expect us to keep un pushing
the quality standards to everything we do.
While we're a bunch of young people with far-reaching ideals and dreams
for the future, we also like to think of ourselves as objective and
down-to-Earth. So we'll finish off our little ode to the future with
the words of Mr. Abraham Lincoln, who said "the best thing about the
future is that it comes only one day at a time".
